“Covert Affairs” has become one of the top dramas where women are in charge. Piper Perabo of “Coyote Ugly” fame plays Annie Walker, a member of the CIA. Does not get more women power than that. You can catch up with “Covert Affairs” here.
Let’s start at the beginning, in 2010 when Annie (Perabo) was just an innocent CIA in training. She gets sent to work in the DPD aka the Domestic Protection Agency where she meets Auggie Anderson, whom is a blind tech operative. He takes her under his wing and they both blindly go forth with their new lives. If you hear anything about the Smithsonian Museum, that was actually Annie’s cover story for when she first started working. She made people believe that she is a worker at the museum and that is why she is so deeply connected. As time has progressed, her stories have become more exciting, glamorous and of course, just a little more illegal and dangerous.
The series stars Piper Perabo (as aforementioned), Christopher Gorham as Auggie, Kari Matchett as Joan Campbell and Peter Gallagher as recurring character named Arthur Campbell. Gorham is known for starring on “Ugly Betty” while Matchett is known for her work on “24.” Of course, Gallagher rarely needs any introduction as he was the father on “The OC” as well as a featured player in “While You Were Sleeping” and “Center Stage.” Now in season five, the show is still a hit for USA and tonight’s episode will leave you breathless.
A mission in Paris is complicated by Auggie’s emotional history, while Joan tries to play a matchmaker for Calder. Elsewhere, Arthur leaves for his first operation abroad for McQuaid Security.
